First Time Installation.

1. At the finish line draw a straight line with a square across all lanes.

2. Drill 1 hole in the center of each lane with drill provided.

3. Place Photodiode with #1 on it up through the hole in lane 1 then push the clear lens onto photodiode till it clicks.

4. .Push the lens with photodiode down till it is flush with the top of the track. REPEAT for each lane. Carefully bend photodiodes leads that are below the track bottom flat and cover these wires with tape to keep them anchored to the bottom of the track.

5.. Mount the Start switch so the switch operates when the start gate is operated. If you can only mount it in a way so the switch operates when the start gate is released then move the middle blue connection to the bottom connector.

Once the above installation has been made you should never have to touch it again.

Connecting Everything up

Plug in the Purple cable from the start switch into the purple jack in the back of the controller. Plug in one end of the blue cable into the Blue connector on back of the controller. The other end goes to the blue connector on the finish line. Connect the power supply to the red jack in the rear of the controller. If you see Awaiting Start and you do not see the Race in Progress lamp flashing then pass one finger over each finish line detector and make sure the Race in Progress blinks. You are now ready to start your race.

Operation

The extinguished Awaiting Start LED indicates that all is connected and the controller is awaiting operation of the start switch. Once the race has started the Awaiting Start LED lights which shows that the race is underway. When each car crosses the finish line their individual times are recorded. A slowpoke timer also starts when the start gate is dropped.  This timer allows you to run less than the number of lanes that this timer was programmed for. At the end of 10.0 seconds all lanes times will be shown and any lanes not finishing will show a 0.000 time.

Once the times have been recorded pressing the "Clear Results" will clear the stored results and print "Awaiting Start" letting you know to drop the gate for the next race.

Controller and all electronics are guaranteed for 2 years.
